The Community Business Briefing is a weekly Zoom webcast that streams live on Facebook. The Community Briefing was inspired by Crystal Mitchell, President of Mitchell Business Solutions and Co-Director of Recycling Black Dollars in April of 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic economic impact on our minority businesses. This is a platform that is powered by our community. Sponsored by Recycling Black Dollars and the Black Business Association. Our goal is to provide small and minority businesses in our region with the most and relevant information on various relief programs and initiatives. Since then, the webcast has expanded to not only help minority businesses by bringing stakeholders in our community to the table to keep the community informed. Dr. Sharon Peterson, Alumni Manager- Southern California Regional Center for Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative. Dr. Sharon Peterson is Alumni Manager for the Southern California Regional Center for Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative. She supports the Southern California alumni and is a liaison to the national 10,000 Small Businesses alumni program.
Prior to becoming Alumni Manager for the 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative, as President of Goldberg Consulting, she worked with small to medium size companies. She has worked as a consultant with several Small Business Development Centers and business owners over the past decade, helping small businesses achieve economic impact in their communities. Her expertise is in loan packaging and developing marketing and sales strategies.
